 REVS Queensland
The Register of Encumbered Vehicles (REVS) is a register of all encumbrances recorded for motor vehicles, motorcycles & vessels in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. REVS also lists certain information relating to stolen vehicles.
In December 1999 the Queensland Government made access to the REVS database possible electronically through private online providers. Dealer Solutions is one such provider and have integrated REVS On-line with their software and via the Internet.
REVS On-line through Dealer Solutions brings great time and cost saving benefits for your business. REVS On-line can be accessed using any of Dealer Solutions software products Dealerlogic, StockIt , the Online Gateway or via a Web Browser.
By accessing REVS through your software you eliminate the need to re-type the identifiers for each vehicle when requesting REVS Certificates.
As an added bonus, you are also able to access REVS via the Internet, check your REVS transactions for any month online at any time, reprint certificates and search for certificates that you have previously requested.
Accessing REVS via the Internet provides you with the ability to make REVS available to other personnel in your dealership and has the ability for you to set up any number of user names and access passwords. Your monthly REVS statement displays the REVS user names next to each requested certificate for easy identification.
There are no subscription fees or ongoing charges for REVS through Dealer Solutions, only a nominal account set-up fee and then you pay for certificates as you go. REVS online certificates are cheaper than the phone / fax REVS system so you save both time and money.
All you need to do to activate REVS in your software or via the Internet is complete and return a REVS online account application to us. Once we receive and process your account application, you can start using the online system almost immediately.
Note: REVS laws differ from state to state. If unsure about the requirements in your state, contact your Dealer Association or relevant Government body.
