What’s new in Inventory Management on our Dashboard in August?

As a part of our commitment to deliver state-of-the-art products and services to your dealership, we have introduced a number of new features and updates to our Dashboard v3 in August!

In case you missed our July release, follow this link to learn more about the inventory column customisation functionality and ability to download your own reports to drill further into your data.

Custom Report Builder

You now can build your own custom report and filtering to easily locate the correct information you are searching for in your inventory. The custom report builder is simple and intuitive to use, whilst delivering powerful search capability and results.

Complete the following steps to build your own Custom Report:

Step 1: Select the Reporting button to open the Custom Report Builder.

Step 2: Enter the information you would like to view in your Custom Report using the Filter section.

Step 3: Select the Add Rule button and select your rule conditions from the drop down filters.

Multiple Rules can be set within the one report which allows you to layer rules on top of each other to find exactly the information you need.

In the example below, the Custom Report has been created based on the rules that the Make is a Holden and the Advertised Price is greater than or equal to $29,990.00.

Step 4: You can easily remove individual rules in your Custom Report by selecting the Remove button or select the Clear All Rules button to remove them all.

Step 5: Once you are satisfied with the Custom Report, select Download as CSV to save the report.

Photos Tab on Vehicle Details Page

You can now view all Vehicle Photos allocated to each inventory stock item using the Photos tab on the Vehicle Details page.

You can also perform a bulk download of all the high-resolutions image files to a zip folder by selecting the Download All button.

Advertising Destinations

Advertising Destinations are now available to view on the Vehicle Detail page on the Destinations tab. You can control the export destinations an individual vehicle will be advertised on via the Export Data toggle.

Lock Field and Comment Functionality

The Lock Field functionality is also now available on Dashboard v3, allowing you to lock in any changes made in Dashboard v3 to the guide code so it can not be overridden by your data feed.

Select the Lock Field checkbox to implement this functionality.

You are also able to lock comments within Dashboard to ensure important comments cannot be overwritten accidentally at a later date. To do so, simply select the Lock Comments button.

Can I lock all fields from being edited?

Our Customer Experience Team can configure the Full Control Feed functionality on your Dahsboard DMS so that all fields will be unavailable to edit. If your data is configured for Full Control, an message will be displayed at the bottom of the Vehicle Details page advising that no changes can be made.

Override Comments

The Override Comments functionality can be configured per vehicle, for a specific Advertising Destination putting you in control of exactly what comments appear on your vehicles at specific destinations. Contact the Customer Experience Team if you would like the Override Comments functionality to be enabled on your data feed.

User Preference in Activity History

The History Tab on the Vehicle Details page provides a comprehensive list of all changes made to an individual vehicle so you have a full audit trail available.  History can be listed in Timeline or Table view. The Dashboard DMS will remember your last view preference and maintain this as your default view.
