Modular Website Platform – Release Notes 2.3

This release brings you Blinker’s new Car Subscription pricing and enquiry forms, sold stock lead notifications, brand new Image module available for all Modular website customers, grandchild (dropdown) menu options and more!

Take a look at the new features now available on our Modular Platform, and stay tuned for further updates as we continue to release more features each fortnight.


Blinker – Car Subscriptions

Blinker’s new Car Subscription pricing and enquiry form can now be enabled via your Blinker Subscription ID (contact Blinker Support if you are unsure of your ID) within the Modular website Dashboard!

Simply browse to the new Blinker – Car Subscription menu item under Website Settings, set the Toggle to Yes, enter your ID and click Update:


Then, any vehicles that you have configured within Blinker’s portal to have a subscription price will automatically update the Vehicle Details page with the price and an enquiry form:

Sold Stock Lead Notifications

In our previous Release Version 2.1, an update was made to Inventory page Sold Stock Retention; links to Vehicle Detail Pages of vehicles marked as Sold would remain active if browsed to directly for 90 days.

As an improvement to this functionality, all Lead Emails or Sales Highway Lead Notifications for Sold vehicles will now specify the lead as a Sold vehicle:

This will ensure customer contacts resulting from these leads are tailored to suit a discussion around alternative options to the vehicle now marked as sold.


New ‘Image’ Module

Thanks to your feedback, we have introduced a new Image module which allows you to upload an image on your dealership website.


The new Image module will allow you to upload an image of any size (up to 25MB) and any resolution, that will automatically scale to suit the size of the device accessing it.

Simply add an image, with a link if relevant, and save the changes:

The image will then automatically scale to suit the device it is viewed on.




Banner Module – Remove Size Requirements

New functionality has been added to the Banner module, allowing users to upload banners at any size. This new feature is located within the Advanced tab of the Banner module:

The Banner Module will then calculate the height of the tallest banner image uploaded to it, and then centre all other banner images to this height. In the below example, the Mazda 3 & 3 Sport banner is the tallest banner image, so the following banner is centered to height with a white margin behind it:

This update will allow customers to upload banner images that do not match Dealer Solutions Content Library banner image resolutions.


Menu Settings – Grandchild Menus

Additional functionality has been added to Modular website Menu Settings – the ability to add an additional tier to Dropdown menus, known as Grandchild Menus.
These can be created by selecting a Submenu Item Type of Dropdown, underneath a Menu Item Type of Dropdown:

This will allow additional menu structuring options on websites with a large number of pages.



Keeping with our commitment to continually improving the Modular Platform and your websites this release also includes numerous performance updates and bug fixes.
